NOAA does not currently maintain a Doppler effect research station, or so they have repeatedly told us.

We believe the Doppler Effect Research Station (DERS) is maintained by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), although NOAA contends it does not.

But if it is not NOAA maintaining the DERS, who does do the DERS? The Germans?
